The James Brown House and Ear Inn are well, having survived the slow earthquake of construction of the Urban Glass House next door. Soon new neighbors will move in to make the old block a new place.

The pub still flows for lunch and dinner daily.

The scaffolding will be down soon, allowing finishing repairs on the House with archeological research ongoing with supervision by the Landmark Preservation Commission.
